2ND cover concept, taken from the scene from the night of O’Dusara itself in the 3rd novel. I thought I’d create the image from Templar’s POV having just gatecrashed proceedings unceremoniously. The painting itself was relatively straightforward; although I wish the background had been painted before the figures -as it turned out all of them were far too bright and vivid and needed repainting to blend in with the gloom. My least favourite of the three concepts. (oil on canvas)
